Romans 8:32 declares: “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
This is not mere comfort—it’s divine assurance. If God gave His Son, the hardest and most costly gift, He will surely give us everything we truly need. “All things” doesn’t mean ease or luxury. Just a few verses later, Paul writes, “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered ” (Romans 8:36)
So what are these “all things”? They are everything needed to fulfill God’s purpose—to conform us to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29). It means grace to endure, faith to press on, and strength to rejoice in all circumstances.
As Paul says in Philippians 4:19, “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
The suffering and death of Christ guarantee that God will give us all things that we need to do his will and to give him glory and to attain everlasting joy. The 17th reason we see as to #whyJesusCametoDie is to Obtain for Us All Things That Are Good for Us. God will never withhold what truly matters—for He already gave His best.
