We are on the 12th Day of Lent and time to look at one more reason as to #WhyJesusCametoDie

Reason No 12: To Take Away Our Condemnation

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1, NIV)

The greatest assurance we have in Christ is that we are no longer under condemnation. To be “in Christ” means to be united with Him by faith. His death became our punishment, and His righteousness became our perfection.

Justified by Faith, Not by Works
Our acceptance before God is not based on our efforts but on Christ alone. Paul writes:

“We know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 2:16, NIV)

Faith does not earn our salvation—it unites us with Christ, whose righteousness is credited to us.

No One Can Condemn Us
The world may try to condemn believers. Many have faced persecution, rejection, and even death. Yet, no accusation against God’s children can stand:

“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.” (Romans 8:33, NIV)

Christ has already taken our condemnation upon Himself. There is no double punishment in God’s court. If He has justified us, no one can condemn us.

More Than Conquerors
Even when trials come, we are never defeated:

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37, NIV)

The world may reject us, but God accepts us. They may imprison us, but He sets us free. Even in death, He gives us eternal life.

So we stand bold—not in our own strength, but in Christ:

“The righteous are as bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1, NIV)

Let this truth sink deep into our hearts. We are forgiven. We are righteous. And in Christ, there is no condemnation!
