Reason 1 Reason 2 Reason 3 Reason 4 Reason 5 Reason 6 & 7

Jesus came to die to become a ransom for many. The Bible tells us

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Mark 10:45

Who did Jesus pay the ransom to? It cannot be Satan, because the Bible teaches us that Satan was defeated at the cross.

by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil

Hebrews 2:14b

It is God who received the ransom. Hebrews 9:14 tells us that Jesus offered himself unblemished to God. As we saw in Mark 10:45, Jesus did not come to be served, but Serve. He is not a receiver, He is giver. He gave His life on His own accord (John 10:18) to serve us, to give us our Salvation

5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time

1 Timothy 2:5-6

As Paul writes to Timothy, “Only” Jesus can be our mediator, our intercessor with the Almighty God, because he gave himself as a ransom. Have you embraced this ransoming Christ for your Salvation? If Yes, How are you a witness to Christ?
