Prof. A. Rajamony was born on 11th July 1934, in a small village Mavaravilai (மாவிறவிளை) near verkelamabi (வேர்கிளம்பி) in kanyakumari.  He was the 10th Son of  Mr.Aaron & Mrs.Mariakaan (மரியக்கண்). He was the first to be educated in his family. He did MA Tamil and went on to complete Diploma in Linguistics & M.Phil.

He started his teaching career as a Tamil teacher in Yettacode Higher secondary School. He was teaching tamil in Nesamony Memorial college, Marthandam. He served the Tamil Department of Scott Christian College from 1970 to 1993. During his Diploma in Linguistics he published paper on the “பனையெற்று தொழிலின் சொற்றொடர்கள்”. His MPhil Project was on “மனோண்மணியத்தில் நாடகக் கூறுகள்”.

He lived by Christian Convictions. His life was a Testimony to the people around him. He devoted his spare time for God’s mission. He has held various positions in his ministry to God. Staff Advisor of Students Christian Movement (SCM), the First Secretary of CSI Church Mavaravilai, An active contributor to Tamil Bible translation team & Sub editor of Desoupakari are few notable ones.

He passed away on the 26th Feb 1993 at the Age of 58. He is survived by his Son R. Arul Aaron, daughter-in-law Angelin Aaron and two grandchildren Belwin Aaron & Hannah Aaron
